Wack 100 Claims Kodak Black Was Shot Over Lauren London Comments
Kodak Black was shot at an after-party during Super Bowl weekend.
Now a new report claims that the “Super Gremlin” rapper was targeted because of past comments he made about Lauren London. In a Clubhouse chat, notorious manager Wack 100 insinuated that an L.A.-based gang member was responsible for the shooting.
“Ni**as out here trippin’ on Kodak, man. On some clout chasing sh*t,” Wack said, according to HotNewHipHop. “Talkin’ ’bout, ‘What’s that sh*t you said about Lauren London?’ Man, get the f**k out of here. But Kodak got off!”
Just weeks after Nipsey Hussle’s death in 2019, Kodak tried to shoot his shot with the late rapper’s girlfriend and the mother of his son Kross.
“Lauren London dat baby though. She finna be a whole widow out here,” he said. “I’ll be the best man I can be for he. I’ll give her a whole year. She might need a whole year to be crying and shit for him.”
At the time, Kodak received a lot of backlash for his disrespectful comments and according to Wack, someone who may be affiliated with the Crips did not forget.
After enraging his peers including The Game and T.I., Kodak eventually issued an apology. “If I disrespected you Lauren London, in any shape or form, I’m sorry,” he said on Instagram Live. “Even though I didn’t. And rest in peace to [Nipsey].”
Kodak was shot in the leg outside Justin Bieber’s after-party at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood on Feb. 11 and had to be hospitalized. Three others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
