Firmware update coming for Nikon Z 7II and Z 6II cameras
Nikon will release new firmware for its Z 7II and Z 6II full-frame mirrorless cameras on 25 February 2021.
Firmware Version 1.10 will improve the performance of Eye-Detection autofocus (AF) and ensure smoother and more flexible shooting on both the Z 7II and Z 6II.
It will also add the ability to export RAW video output to Blackmagic Design external recorders, enabling recording in Blackmagic RAW format and ProRes RAW format.
For ProRes RAW video output recorded with the Atomos Ninja V, videographers will enjoy an expansion of options when it comes to video editing through the ISO settings and colour temperature control when using Apple’s Final Cut Pro Version 10.4.9 (and later).
The latest update also provides support for 4K UHD/60p for the Z 6II video recording options.
Firmware Ver. 1.10 will be available on 25th February 2021 at the Nikon Download Centre.
