Our Supported Translations Update

We appreciate your patience as we’ve worked to update and optimize the translations that we offer within the product. We previously spoke about this in this blog post. As stated therein, we are working hard to bring you the best translations possible. Presently, and to help us focus on our new translations, we currently support English, Spanish, German, and Russian. In the future, we plan to add support for additional languages as new translations become available.

What Translations Were Removed?

At this time, as we seek to improve the overall quality of our translations, we have made certain decisions regarding our legacy locales. To be transparent, the legacy translations need a lot of work, so it became necessary to remove them for the time being. In cPanel & WHM version 106, the following language locales have been removed:

  • Arabic
  • Bulgarian
  • Chinese
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Chinese (Traditional)
  • Chinese (Taiwan)
  • Czech
  • Danish
  • Dutch
  • Greek
  • Finnish
  • Filipino
  • French
  • Hebrew
  • Hungarian
  • Indonesian
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Latin American Spanish
  • Malay
  • Norwegian
  • Polish
  • Portuguese
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Romanian
  • Slovenian
  • Swedish
  • Thai
  • Turkish
  • Ukrainian

What If You Need A Language That Was Removed?

We do understand, and this decision was not made lightly. cPanel is a global product, and we don’t want to leave you without options. We know our legacy translations need work, and we are working diligently to bring you new ones. In the meantime, we do have an alternative.

To reinstate partial language support, use the files in this repository. Your server administrator or hosting provider can make them available. To upload any language files found in our repository, perform the steps in our Locale XML Upload documentation.

What Language Would You Like To See Next?

Your feedback is important to us. Knowing what languages are most in-demand helps us get the translations you need sooner. We’ve created a language survey to help our team understand which languages to work on next.

Again, we would like to thank all of our customers for submitting tickets, sending feedback on our forums, and chatting with us on Discord. We value your opinions and want to create the best possible product for your needs. Please do let us know your thoughts as we work to provide the best possible experience for you.
