Picture This global video competition opens

World Photography Organisation is working with Sony Pictures Television and the United Nations Foundation for Picture This, a global video competition to inspire a positive future for people and the planet.

Established to recognise content creators interpreting the environmental concerns of our time, Picture This calls for the creative community to raise awareness and inspire action for the planet. Video creators are invited to submit entries to the competition, which has just open and closes on 5 July, 2022. Entry is free of charge. Under the title The Time to Act is Now! the 2022 brief is in support of the United Nations’ ActNow campaign, which encourages individual action to help tackle climate change. Videos should inspire viewers to address one or more of the issues highlighted in the eight climate-focused Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) we have chosen with Sony Pictures Television and the United Nations Foundation.

The call to action is in support of the United Nation’s Act Now campaign.  The videos should be in the style of a promotion or advertisement running at either 30 or 60 seconds long. Winning entries will be showcased on a Sony Pictures Television international network, at the Picture This award ceremony and events held by the United Nations Foundation and the World Photography Organisation – plus more! You can find the eight Sustainable Development Goals  – and more information about each individual goal – on the Picture This web pages.
